I can't believe I am going to withdraw from Visual Art. Pretty disappointed in myself for not paying much attention to it as much as I want to. But even if I did, I don't think I can cope doing it along with English Comms, Specs, Studies and Physics. Especially during the final weeks of year 12 when I really need to concentrate on exams revision. So goodbye major art pracs and visual study! There goes my only trace of creativity. Damn you year 12 and your endless cycle of homework, damn you.
A segment of the visual study folio I started on. It was based on flowers.
The Royal Adelaide Show is ending this Saturday /sigh. I really want to go again even though I've already went twice last weekend already. The best thing about the show, without a doubt is the strawberry & marshmallow kebabs dipped in chocolate fountain. I'd eat hundreds of those if I could! They are yummy as fuck. (
nts: Buy a chocolate fountain in the future). As for the rides, Space Roller is my favourite. So is the Break Dance but that shiz make you go all dizzy b and your cheeks get sore. I didn't get a chance to go on that many rides but oh well. Maybe next year... Or the next.
Made step dad an apple pie on Sunday for Father's Day. Also bought him a card that has a six-pack at the front because he can't get any HAHAHA. I ended up eating most of the apple pie myself by bringing it to school. Sharing is caring ♥ Anyway, here's the instructions on how to make it. I don't have the actual recipe written anywhere... but it's pretty straightforward.
Ingredients:
- A tin of pie apples (the big one)
- Butter cake mix (standard size)
- 1/2 cup desiccated coconut
- 75g melted butter
- Sugar
1. Mash the pie apples (whole tin) in a mixing bowl and add in 1-2 teaspoons of sugar (or as many as you like). Keep in mind that most of the sweetness will come from the butter cake mix. Once you're done with mixing in the sugar, pour the apple mix into a flat ceramic dish and even it out.
2. In a separate bowl, combine the butter cake mix (whole packet), desiccated coconut and melted butter together. Using the tip of your fingers, rub the ingredients together thoroughly (or mix it with a fork). Tiny lumps should start to form.
3. Pour the butter cake mix and stuff onto the pie apple. Make sure it is evenly spread. Chuck it in the oven at 180 degrees and bake until the top is golden. Serve with ice cream, whipped cream or custard.
